Ebay Shenanigans: Here we go....

I score 4 sweet cards on ebay for about $10 from the same seller. I get an invoice for $20+, and respond to this asking for an invoice reflecting combined shipping. In response I am told there is no combined shipping. I just replied....so here we #@$%ing go.

So the question is, am I the one being a jerk? Refusal to combine shipping on 4 cards? You've gotta be kidding me!?!

  2. oh, and pay for them 4 seperate times .... not all at once. If he can't combine, then make him pay paypal fees on each transaction

  3. There is no reason there shouldn't be combined shipping. I don't think you're being silly.

  4. That's ridiculous that he won't combine shipping...what a douche! I agree with Canuck though...paypal fee the hell out of this dude. Or demand he send 4 separate bubble mailers to reflect the non combined shipping...

  7. Thanks everybody! When I got the reply I saw red. I told the seller to cancel my bids and extend second chance offers----no word back yet, but the ball is in his court. I'll update this when I hear something back, but this is some of the lamest crap I've ever seen, even for ebay.

  8. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Ebay can be a great thing and it can turn out like this. It's such a crapshoot. Good luck CCC!

  9. I find that when sellers don't list combined shipping costs they wait for this type of thing to happen so they can hammer you on shipping costs and ebay can't help you cause they haven't broken any rules. I won't bid on anything with no combined rates without hearing back from the seller after I question it on cards I really want. If I am on the fence about a card I will just move on to another seller who lists combined rates in the description. I agree with the others, pay for each card seperately and demand 4 seperate mailers.
