MLB.TV Horror Story

If you've followed the blog for a while you've seen a few mentions of my intense love/hate relationship with MLB.TV. On the eve of the opening day of spring training we're right back to hate.

It's not the product, which is all the baseball you could ever want at a decent price. It's the MLB part.

The latest: they automatically renewed my subscription last Friday (right on). Instead of doing it through the card they have on file they did it via Paypal, hence accessing a card I had NO idea they were going to tap. Aside from the issue of the money, this is so beyond the pale (and yet so typical of what I've come to expect from them) I've cancelled my subscription. I won't get all the Rays games I want, but I won't have to worry about Bud Selig reaching into my back pocket, either.

I will survive!

  1. That sucks. O'well - MLB.TV's loss! I always look at this package but can't wrap my ahead around having to watch all the games on a computer...
